About the Event

Our Ink and Inclusion: CARES Across Cultures event will be a series of three events that is part of the City of Bellevue Cross-Cultural Without Walls. This is an inclusive art event for all neurodiversed individuals and families from the community. We hope the participants can walk away with an understanding of the perspectives from individuals other than their identified background.

Art serves as a more accessible form of self-expression, especially for individuals with neurodiversed backgrounds, surpassing verbal communication or written words. Through our art event series, we hope people will learn the value of diversity and the power of creative expression in fostering unity and understanding. Ultimately, we aim to cultivate a supportive and inclusive community where individuals feel empowered to express themselves authentically and connect with others on a deeper level through art.

Event Details:

  • 10 am - Doors Open. Check-in and sign Photo Release forms.

  • 10 am-12 pm

    • Participants can go to different stations to paint and draw using a wide range of art supplies.

    • Guidance and support are available from our facilitators and volunteers for individuals with different abilities.

    • Some of our youth volunteers are from the neurosdivergent community

    • After finishing one or more art pieces, participants are welcome to take the artworks and join the Bingo game where they will talk about their artworks and how they interpret love.
